Pet Photography on the Central Coast
Your pets are not just animals. They are family. They are the ones who greet you at the door, curl up beside you on hard days, and love you without conditions. They deserve artwork as beautiful as the joy they bring to your life. I create professional pet portraits that capture the personality, the spirit, and the soul of your beloved companion — artwork you will treasure long after the years have passed.

What Makes Our Pet Photography Different
The Fur Whisperer
I have spent years learning to read animal body language, build trust quickly, and work at every pet's individual pace. Whether your dog needs five minutes of sniffing the studio before they relax or your cat requires slow, quiet energy to feel safe, I know how to create an environment where animals feel comfortable and their true personality shines through. Patience is not just a nice-to-have in pet photography — it is everything.
Custom Artwork, Not Snapshots
Your phone is full of cute photos of your pet. What I create is something entirely different. With 20+ years of professional experience and a background as an art director, I bring a trained eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling to every session. The result is museum-quality artwork — custom wall art, heirloom albums, and beautifully finished portraits that elevate your pet to the masterpiece they truly are.
The Comfort Guarantee
Your pet's comfort always comes first. If your furry friend is having an off day, feeling too stressed, or simply not in the mood, we will reschedule your session at no additional cost. Period. I never want a pet to have a negative experience in front of my camera, and I never want you to feel pressured to push through a session that is not working. We will find the right day and the right energy, and the results will be worth the wait.
The Pet Photography Experience
01
The Consultation
We start with a conversation about your pet — their personality, their quirks, the things that make them uniquely them. I will ask about their favorite treats, their comfort level with new places, and the look and feel you want for your portraits. We will choose the perfect location and plan every detail together.
02
The Session
This is where the magic happens. I work at your pet's pace, using treats, toys, and a whole lot of patience to capture authentic expressions and genuine moments. Sessions typically last about an hour and are designed to be fun and stress-free for everyone — four-legged and two-legged alike.
03
The Reveal
About two to three weeks after your session, you will come to my studio to see your images for the first time. We will view them together on a large screen, curate your favorites, and design custom wall art and albums that showcase your pet in all their glory. You will leave knowing exactly what your finished artwork will look like.
Pet Portrait Gallery
Every pet is unique, and every portrait tells a story. Here is a collection of some of the beloved companions I have had the honor of photographing on the Central Coast.

What Pet Parents Are Saying
“Amy brought treats and toys to capture Hope in her best moments. Amy is a true professional and takes gorgeous photos.”
“My jaw dropped and I got goosebumps when I saw the final results. This art is now hanging in my front room, the first thing I see when I walk in the house. There is nothing else like it.”
“The outcome was unbelievable; an album of 22 photos of our Chewy doing all sorts of fun things. Those photos certainly captured the personality of our little guy.”

Our Pets Are Family
I started offering pet photography because I understand, deeply and personally, that our pets are not accessories or afterthoughts. They are family members who shape our daily lives, comfort us through difficult seasons, and bring more laughter and love into our homes than we ever thought possible.
The truth that every pet parent knows is that our time with them is never long enough. The years move quickly, and one day you will look at your companion and realize their muzzle has gone gray, their steps have slowed, and the puppy energy you once tried to contain has softened into something quieter and even more precious.
That is why these portraits matter. They freeze a moment in time. They preserve the spark in your dog's eyes, the curve of your cat's tail, the way your pet looks at you with complete trust and devotion. Long after they are gone, these images will be the things that bring you comfort and make you smile through tears.
I take this responsibility seriously, and I pour my heart into every pet portrait I create. Your companion deserves to be remembered beautifully.

Pet Portraits with Purpose
Stay tuned for our next Pet Portraits with Purpose fundraiser, happening in early 2027! I believe beautiful pet portraits and community impact can go hand in hand. Through my Pet Portraits with Purpose program, I donate $150 of every $175 session fee directly to the U-Pick Pantry at New Life Community Center, which provides groceries and pet food to families in need right here on the Central Coast.
Since launching this program, we have raised just shy of $10,000 in donations and dog food — all because pet parents like you believe in celebrating the pets they love while supporting our neighbors.
